“To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.” – Titus 1:4-5 NIV

The International Church of Christ in Lagos reached another important milestone at the church’s Thanksgiving Worship Service on Sunday, January 28, 2024 as Jude Uzoma Ordu of the Oshodi-Isolo Region in Lagos was appointed an Elder in the presence of the Lagos Church congregation, with over 2,000 in attendance.

This appointment brings the total number of Elders currently in Lagos to Five.

An Elder read out the charge and pointed him to four key expectations of his role as an elder which are; to keep watch over himself and his family; keep watch over the Lagos congregation, loving, feeding and protecting the flock; Be steadfast in commitment to unity, truth and sound doctrine; And that the church is precious to God and his appointment is a trust from God.

The Lagos Church of Christ is blessed to have Jude serve as an Elder. We pray for God’s guidance as he begins his service to God and his church.

Jude and Lauretta Ordu

To God be the glory. Amen!
