Date Planted: 1999

Brief History: The church in Ibadan started as a seed fellowship in the early 1990s when some disciples of Jesus Christ got admission to the University of Ibadan. Some of these disciples are Gboyega Adeniran, Wale Adigun, Jare Adeniyi, Bimbo Da Silva (now Bimbo Odusote). The Ibadan congregation supported by Kemi Olufowobi which was largely a campus fellowship, thrived baptizing students and locals alike into Christ. Soon the church started congregating at a facility at Sapati, Ibadan (originally called Shepherd Hills) being led by Bolaji Henshaw and Funmi Ajao from Lagos. The church later moved to Ososami area in 1998. After Bolaji Henshaw left, the budding church was led by Sola and Mabel Awodumila in 1999 for a period of three months. In 1999, at the Lagos Christian Church 10th year anniversary, Wasiu and Martina Ajao were sent forth from Lagos to lead the church being the first full-time ministers. During this time, the church grew even stronger spiritually, even numerically.
