The sun woke up early too!!!

God’s awesome wonders and splendor was felt in the radiance and glow that shone on everyone’s face as the campers and officials jogged through the tracks in the morning drills to stay fit.

Our topic for the morning devotion today was taken from the book of Ezra 3:6-9 encouraging all to get their hands dirty in the temple building.

HOW COULD THE TEMPLE BE REBUILT IF THERE’S NO TEAM-PLAY?

A topic calling each Camper to be a part of the success in one another’s life as their abilities and positions are very vital in the building process. The children agreed that being young does not stop them from playing their own part. Only Zerubbabel cannot do it!

The very first class for the day was a general topic on AGGRESSION, PASSIVENESS AND ASSERTIVENESS. Being a role play class, the counselors were able to capture the personal traits and uniqueness of each child as they share their diverse areas of strength and weakness.

DISCIPLESHIP IS NOT COOL?

What a factual question!

It was a very sensitive moment and my heart kept palpitating: what will their response be? I feared! I prayed silently and once again God displayed his power and supremacy over all thoughts and understanding. Very sobering to hear some of them admitting that Discipleship is cool after incredible and life-transforming experiences were shared by Stella Emeka, Dr Gboyega and Mike Odiaka.

However, the teenagers did not deny that Discipleship is not cool in the present stage of their life as they face peer pressure and long to exert the flaming energies in them. Looking at Luke 9:23, 2 Tim 4:1-5, they were all called back to sound doctrine, making emphasis on the theme of the Camp – building for tomorrow; how different and unique each group built. Dr GboyegaIMG-20150811-WA011 again reminded the teenagers that how you build today will determine your outcome tomorrow.

Campers had a bonus of an hour siesta after which they convened and attended different craft lessons by Auntie Vera and Uncle Collins.

It was sports time. Each Platoon was represented for sack racing, spoon and ball, throw and catch games. I guess tomorrow we will find out the result of the games.

Did I just see a tear drop? Oh yes, it is the movie! HOME! So touching, interesting, captivating!

I also heard some ohs and waos and finally all the campers cheered as the movie came to an end when Boov and Tip finally find a HOME. As the hall emptied, campers made their ways to bed as Day 3 ended at the Camp…
