Banjul Church Celebrates 20th Anniversary!

When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then, it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” — Psalm 126:1-2

The Banjul Church of Christ recently celebrated its 20th year of “winning Banjul for Christ”.
The Church in Banjul was planted by the Lagos church on June the 28th 1997 by Kemi Olufowobi, who led the team with Caroline Okafor and Godwin Onwughara. A year later Okechi Mba joined from Guinea Conakry.  Godwin and Caroline Onwughara are presently leading church.
Activities geared to celebrate this celebration started with a poor outreach on Saturday the 24th of June as disciples in the Banjul church gave out foods, toiletries and foot wears to a mentally challenged home.
At the service proper, God did an amazing miracle on that day as we had almost a full house on a day that the Muslims ended their fasting period and there was scarcity of transportation (The Gambia is a predominately Islam country).
We also had visitors from London and Lagos in attendance. Below are pictures from our Anniversary celebrations.
