Oshodi-Isolo Region’s Golden Age Ministry Thanksgiving Service

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you – Isaiah 46:4 NIV

The Oshodi/Isolo Region’s Elderly (Golden Age) Ministry held its annual Thanksgiving Service on the 23rd of June 2024 in grand style.

The day’s theme was ‘Caring and Loving the Children and Grandchildren.’ To this end, the Golden Age Ministry in the region cooked a feast for all who came to church.

The region was invited to participate in this event by inviting their parents and grandparents to grace the occasion.

The whole service was handled by the elderly and we had great leaders come to felicitate with us in the persons of Solomon Obilomo – coordinator of the Lagos Elderly Ministry and we also had two Elders in attendance. Jude Ordu shared thoughts about the Communion while Francis Okodugha preached an inspiring message calling us to reawaken our dreams again as disciples of Jesus Christ.

All our over 40 elderly visitors went home with a gift pack supplied by the Golden Ministry members.

It was a great time of worship and friendship-building. A few of our friends are interested in knowing more about the church and the word of God being introduced to them. Let’s remember them in our prayers.

We thank God for such an awesome time and look forward to the next anniversary to the glory of God.
