The Benevolence Ministry of the  International Church of Christ, creatively opened up its regular poor program in 2015 to support less privileged with  Economic Empowerment Program, where knowledge were impacted in 3 different skill centres in Tailoring/Fashion designing, Leather working and Baking & Pastries.
In 2015, classes were open up for the Tailors who learnt under 10 months, the art of cloth making, cloth designing and other accessories work.  With seasoned Trainers who took turned in teaching dedicated students, equipped the beneficiaries with necessary training while materials were provided to support the learning, under a very conducive working environment.

Catering which involved Baking of cakes in various forms (dessert, chocolate, red velvet, fruity, spongy, etc) with cakes decorations in butter icing, royal icing, fondant and designs.  The training extended to pastries making in meatpie, doughnut, burger bread, egg roll, sausage and others.  This permitted for low scale business set up for the beneficiaries to be self employed.
Leatherwork beneficiaries also had the privileged of making shoes, bags, belts and other leatherwork items. This training gave basic knowledge of leatherworking, which the beneficiaries have being certified.  To compliment this effort and grow the knowledge, arrangement has been made for further training with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Lagos State for all encompassing knowledge which kicks off in April 2016 for the beneficiaries. 
The Skill Acquisition Program adopted many participants at the startup but only 15 graduated – 8 tailors, 4 bakers and 3 Leather 3workers

With the support and volunteering services of seasoned trainers, 2 for tailoring, 2 for leather work and 2 for baking/pastries helped in embedding knowledge into the beneficiaries.

On February 12, 2016, the graduation ceremony of the graduands  took place where family members, community members, professional advisors and the leadership group of international Church of Christ, ably represented by the Benevolence Leader, Mr Imagbe Igbinoba, amongst others.
The training Coordinator, Mrs Bunmi Adefolu expressed satisfaction at the level of commitment of the beneficiaries to their training program and which added value to their lives.  Mrs Chijioke Udom, the Program Officer who also spoke well of the enduring attitude of beneficiaries.

Mr Imagbe Igbinoba, the Benevolence Ministry Leader, commended every stakeholder effort in making the day a successful one, which culminated into graduation of the beneficiaries.
