Ikeja-Ketu Teens Evangelism Program
Ikeja-Ketu Teens Evangelism Program
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth” – Acts 13:47
On Sunday 14th of June, 2015, the teenagers of the Ikeja/Ketu Region in Lagos partook in an evangelism program at the busy Shoprite, a bustling shopping mall in the heart of Ikeja.
The objective of this activity was essentially to train and practically implant on the teens the importance of group evangelism, share their faith and how to handle rejection when reaching out to people. The exercise commenced shortly after the Sunday service in Ikeja.
The teenagers shared their experiences after the evangelism as this was the first time the teenagers of the region will be having group evangelism in a full-crowded environment.
After the activities, The Teens Ministry Coordinators in the region, Mr. & Mrs. Ndubuisi Eke encouraged the teens to adopt this as a lifestyle in school and at leisure, not to grow tired, ashamed or weary of sharing their faith and further urged other regions in Lagos to emulate such examples by practically teaching their teenagers on group and personal evangelism.
