The annual leadership retreat of the Ikeja-Ketu-Mowe Region of the Lagos Church took place on Saturday 7th February, 2015 at the Living Spring Resort & Holiday Inn in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.

The region has made Living Spring a home of some sort as it has been the venue for this life-transforming, mission-focused meeting of the various ministry leaders ranging from Family Group Leaders, Zonal Leaders, Deacons, Special Ministry Leaders i.e Kids Kingdom, Preteens, Teens, Campus Singles, Marrieds, Sarah Mothers, Abraham Fathers, Music, Ushering, Security, etc.

It had in attendance 40 ministry leaders who had to leave their comfort zones and families in Lagos to make the trip to the serene environment of Living Spring Resort & Holiday Inn. Billy Osazuwa and Precious Motutu were presented as the new Singles Ministry leaders!

BUILD: ‘AND PRESENT EVERYONE MATURE’ IN CHRIST was theme of the retreat,  the Evangelist in charge of the region, Okechukwu Emeka helped the leaders to see the need to build up every member of the body in a way and manner that is presentable to Christ; spiritual maturity being the goal. The scripture passages he read were Eph.1:19-21 and Col. 1:18. He concluded by calling all leaders to achieving the goal of maturing one another and the disciples under our care, through consistent one on one discipling!

Issues bordering on finance, security, transportation challenges/general welfare of members of the region, Mowe land, etc were extensively deliberated upon by the leaders at this year’s retreat.

It was such a refreshing experience for the leaders as everyone was encouraged not to rest on their oars as they serve in God’s vineyard.

It feels good to note at this juncture that it was another year, with another successful leadership retreat in the Ikeja-Ketu-Mowe Region of the Lagos Church.

May the Lord reward the works of our hands as we lead His people. Amen.
