Ogba-Agege Married Seminar – ‘The Threefold Cord’

The Ogba-Agege Married had a refreshing time on Saturday 15^th February 2014 when we all gathered together to learn different ways of building Godly family in commemoration of the Valentine celebration.

The seminar which was titled “The Threefold Cord” Ecclesiastes 4:12b that is having God on top of a Pyramid, then husband and wife on the other two sides.  This seminar had over 137 married in attendance including visitors.

Different topics were explored and it was indeed an eye opener to all participants.  Facilitators at the seminars are well experienced marriage counselors with good track records in training and motivational messages. Topics ranging from “Killers in marriage” (which exposed critical warning signs that could lead to disharmony in marriage). “Marriage and finance” (i.e. unveiling effective ways of managing finance between husband and wife), “The Planned Christian family” (which talked about the structure of a Christian home/family) and “Family Planning for Couples” (which delve into different ways of Family Planning, analyzing the pros and cons of each of these methods).

In addition to this, Medical Examinations/Laboratory screening was conducted for the participants.  Medical checks such as Blood Pressure, Cholesterol Level, and Sugar Level were tested.   Married that have never had the opportunity of knowing their health status took the advantage of that day.  Some participants whose health is below-par were worried, but were promptly advised on what to do to improve upon their health.

Married devotional will be organize at different Zones of the Region to further discuss the impact of this seminar in our marriages to ensure it is fully internalize and produce positive effect in our marriages.

We shall also continue to have the married quiz drawn from the “Worthy of His Calling” and the Bible to help us know more about the word of God and keep all the Married in Ogba-Agege as one.
