‘COURAGE’ is the word as Ikeja-Ketu Organizes Parenting Workshop
Saturday 24th March, 2012 was the date and venue was the Otunba Jobi Fele facility of the Lagos Church.
Organised by the Parenting Coordinators of the Region Mr and Mrs Sesan Ogunro and ably assisted by the church Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator elder Israel Ereola, it was a parenting workshop with a difference.
This well-packaged event began with a two-hour movie titled ‘Courageous’ which set the tone for what was to be an emotional, intriguing, challenging and parenting-changing evening.
Fathers (and mothers alike) were helped to see that there would be controversies, there would be conflicts and, of course, there would be challenges but it takes just one thing to deal with whatever situation they face in the course of training their children in such a corrupt and morally decadent world that we all live in…that one thing is courage.
The beauty of this workshop is that resolutions were made in the open by fathers and mothers to train their children in the way of the Lord and certificates were presented accordingly.
Plans are in the pipeline for other Regions within the Lagos Church and, of course, Churches all over Nigeria to benefit from the richness of this workshop.
Kudos to Mr and Mrs Ogunro for a job well done.
