The Campus Ministry of the south-south churches had a Campus Weekend Tagged “Remember Your Creator”, an event that called us to the lifestyle that God has called us into.

Remember Your Creator 2014 was a fellowship, reviving, fun-filled and encouraging program, where various campus ministries within the south-south region (Benin, Port Harcourt and Asaba) came together with Warri as host. The program was an open one because students in Senior Secondary School were also welcome to get encouragement and inspiration into the campus.

The event started on Friday 31st October 2014 with the arrival of Campus students from various campuses and cities to the church facility of the Warri church.

Saturday 1st November 2014 was the main event with community service (a visit to the orphanage home) various classes and a party to wind the day down.

The visit to “Our lady of mercy” was an event that saw the delegates fellowship with the children of the orphanage home and presented gifts to them.

The first class titled: Love for God by Sam Isibor, who leads the Benin campus ministry, opened the hearts of students to the challenges on campuses and how to stand out for God and be a true ambassador of Christ in our Campuses.

There was a time of sharing and hearts were really poured our prior the class.

The second class was a split class

The brothers had a class with Abiodun Mudashiru and the sisters with Margret Obaje. These sessions featured the hidden sins on campuses exposed and how disciples on campus can be kept in the right path for God.

Sunday was uniquely different as the entire church service was handled by the students. Dipo Ajayi, from the Port Harcourt campus ministry preached the sermon.

It was indeed a wonderful and refreshing time in God’s presence at the weekend in Warri. There is nothing more elevating than drawing closer to God and having good fellowship with brothers and sister in the kingdom.
