The International Church of Christ (ICOC) Owerri successfully hosted a four-day Back-to-School Programme designed for teenagers and pre-teens. The programme combined spiritual preparation, character building, and fun activities, ensuring that the young ones were better equipped for the new academic session.
Camp Highlights (28th – 31st August)
The programme began with a 4-day camp filled with devotionals, interactive Bible classes, group discussions, and mentoring sessions that focused on preparing the children spiritually and morally for school life.
Teens and pre-teens participated in engaging workshops on discipline, friendship, academic excellence, and making godly choices.
The camp also featured fun and recreational activities such as team-building games, sports, talent displays, and creative challenges that kept the atmosphere lively and entertaining.
Grand Finale – Sunday, 31st August
The programme climaxed on Sunday with a vibrant Back-to-School Quiz Competition, where the children showcased their knowledge and teamwork. This was followed by:
Award presentations to outstanding participants.
Gifts distribution, ensuring every child felt appreciated and encouraged.
A closing session of thanksgiving and prayers for the students’ success and protection in the upcoming school year.
