Great News from Akure!

It’s 2+2 In Akure!

Psalm 115:1 – Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

What a Great God we serve! We are excited in Akure as our Sunday Service today was glorious and eventful as God brought about restorations in the lives of 2 brothers + also 2 baptisms!

Two biological brothers, Opeyemi Richard Oluwayemiwo & Ojo Lanre Oluwayemiwo who left the faith about 18 years ago found their way back.

Opeyemi Richard Oluwayemiwo and Ojo Lanre Oluwayemiwo are two brothers who left the faith about 18 years ago but got restored back to the brotherhood shortly after today’s service.

With both arms, we welcomed them back to God’s kingdom today.

It was an emotion-laden moment, they praised God for bringing them back to Him.

Also, with joy and thanksgiving in our hearts, we had our first baptism since the Akure Church planting. It was a twin baptism.

Abimbola Akinsola and Paul Jerome declared Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour barely after 3 weeks of being introduced to God’s words. We pray they continue to mature in righteousness and through them, many will get to confess Jesus as Lord!

We had 13 visitors in church today, to the glory of God, and please continue to pray for open hearts as most of them have started studying God’s words.

However, we bade farewell to the great couple, Abideen and Bukola Muritala, including the students of the Nitchie Emeka Oguagha School of Missions whose hard work, leadership, and encouragement over the past one month have been faith-refining, and hope-building for disciples in Akure.

They shall be sorely missed but we feel grateful for the times we learned from them and feel honored for the bond.

Continue to remember us in Akure in your prayers as our God continues to bring about great victories!
