The 2026 West Africa Missions (WAM) Leadership Conference was held from 12–15 March 2026 at the Family Kingdom Resort, Aberdeen, Freetown, Sierra Leone. Hosted by the International Church of Christ in Sierra Leone, the conference brought together church leaders, evangelists, elders, ministry leaders, and disciples from across the English-speaking West African nations for four days of worship, spiritual renewal, leadership development, fellowship, and strategic planning.

Held under the theme “Called, Chosen and Commissioned,” the conference provided an inspiring opportunity for delegates to deepen their relationship with God while strengthening the bonds of unity that continue to define the West Africa Missions family.
The conference began with meetings of the WAM Leadership Group and Board of Trustees, where comprehensive ministry, financial, and administrative reports were presented. Delegates also reviewed and approved amendments to the WAM Constitution and Policies, discussed the future direction of the mission, and announced that Liberia will host the next WAM Leadership Conference in 2029, with future conferences now scheduled every three years.
Throughout the conference, participants benefited from a rich variety of Bible-based classes addressing holiness, Christian leadership, marriage, singleness, youth discipleship, women’s ministry, administration, finance, and missions. These practical and inspiring sessions challenged disciples to live lives fully devoted to Christ while equipping them to serve more effectively in their respective ministries and communities.

One of the highlights of the conference was the emphasis on missions and leadership development through the NEOSOM School of Missions, encouraging disciples to embrace God’s call to raise and equip future generations of Kingdom leaders. Delegates also witnessed joyful baptisms and celebrated testimonies of transformed lives, reminding everyone of the mission’s commitment to making disciples throughout West Africa.

Beyond the classroom, delegates enjoyed meaningful fellowship with disciples from across the region, celebrated the rich cultural heritage of West Africa through vibrant music and cultural performances, and participated in a community outreach visit to the Raining Season Orphanage, where food items, educational materials, clothing, and other essential supplies were donated to support vulnerable children.
The conference concluded with a special worship service commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the International Church of Christ in Sierra Leone. The celebration reflected on God’s faithfulness over three decades, honored the sacrifices of the pioneering disciples who established the church, and inspired the congregation through heartfelt worship, thanksgiving, and a powerful sermon reminding every disciple that we are truly called, chosen, and commissioned to advance God’s Kingdom.

The 2026 WAM Leadership Conference was a resounding success, strengthening unity among the churches of West Africa, reaffirming our collective commitment to the Great Commission, and inspiring delegates to return home spiritually refreshed, encouraged, and better equipped to serve Christ and His Church.
To God alone be all the glory.
