Heaven Rejoices as Omowale and Ololade Gets Baptized in Ibadan!

Heaven rejoices as Omowale and Ololade Get Baptized!

Acts 2: 40-41 40 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

It was a wonderful day for the church in Ibadan as two siblings, Omowale and Ololade Adebayo got baptized into the kingdom of God. It was a long and challenging journey for the two who lost their father couple of years ago and were persecuted by their mother under the influence of their former church Prophet because they both made decision to leave the old rough life, study the bible and follow Jesus.

It was recalled that several times, Ololade was locked up in the house and was beaten up so as not to meet up with both Sunday service and mid-week service. Ololade who finished his secondary school some years ago was under the custody of the church prophet and was refused the opportunity to continue his education with the excuse from the church prophet that he will become a prophet in the church.

Omowale, the elder sister, finished her OND at Ede Polytechnic and was invited to the Ibadan church by a disciple who happens to be her course mate at the Polytechnic. She received the gospel with happiness but faced some struggles and challenges (including family challenges). But to Gods glory, He who chooses and calls His own, He who knows the beginning and the end of every human being, both Omowale and Ololade made the final decision of the becoming disciples of Jesus and got baptized into God’s kingdom

It was a joyous experience for the disciples in Ibadan church as they showed their happiness when both Omowale and Ololade were welcomed into the kingdom

In conclusion, Matt 28: 18-20

18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This is recalling us to our responsibilities as disciples of King Jesus, reminding us of his promises to always be with us to the very end if we obey his commandment of baptizing and teaching the world to obey everything he has commanded us. Amen.
