The International Church Of Christ Calabar had their first ever women breakfast service on the 27th of April 2014.
The Calabar Church Evangelist said “We give glory to God for how His word has transformed women in our church”.
The service started 8.00am with powerful women song
leaders. The women leader preached a message on “Enemy of the cross“
using scripture from Phil 3 vs 18- 21 as her introduction,
helping
women to understand that the foundation of Christianity is based on
the cross of Jesus.
She made two points on how we could possible be enemy of the cross –
1) Passion for self: Using srciptures from phil 3 vs 19, col 2 vs 13 –
14. 2) Earthly Mindset : Scriptures from 1 john 2 vs 15-17, col 3 vs
1-9.
She concluded by showing how we can be friends of the cross through
Col 3 vs 9-17. The women were excited and glad that they could render
their service to God.
They had 23 in attendance. After the women breakfast service we had
our thanksgiving service and altogether we had 61 in attendance. It
was a great service for us.
Thanks
