What a fantastic day it was at the Lagos church’s Girlfriend’s Hangout 2025! Held at the Surulere Church facility, this all-women celebration brought together sisters of every age—our young girls, teenagers, college students, singles, mums, and grandmothers—in an atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and sisterly love.
The day kicked off with an energizing aerobics session, setting a lively tone. Orumwense Ngozi opened the event with a heartfelt prayer, entrusting the day to God’s guidance. Dr. Toke Adekitan then thrilled everyone with an insightful health talk covering mental wellness, nutrition, hygiene, and the importance of regular checkups—empowering all women to prioritize their health.

The excitement escalated with a variety of fun-filled games—Ludo, cards, skipping ropes, bottle flips, and volleyball—creating moments of lighthearted competition and bonding. Sisters brought in delicious food to share, creating a warm, communal vibe, while everyone stayed refreshed thanks to the generous provision of water.
The highlight of the day was the dance competition! Sisters of all ages hit the dance floor with enthusiasm—youngsters wowed with their flexibility, while the older women and women’s ministry leaders showed surprising gyrations, leaving everyone in awe and laughter. The energy was contagious!
Throughout the day, lively selfies and group photos captured the essence of sisterhood and shared memories. Kudos to our wonderful anchors – Karin Anolefo, Cynthia John, and Tobe Modebei—and to the entire organizing team and women leaders who made this event truly unforgettable.
Everyone left feeling recharged, connected, and inspired. Events like this remind us of the importance of taking time to unwind, empower one another, and celebrate our shared faith and friendship.
