The South East bloc of our Nigerian family of churches comprising of the Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Calabar, Owerri and Uyo churches took a week’s campaign trip to the city of Aba in South East Nigeria from the 8th to 14th of April, 2019.
Aba is a city located in Abia State in the Eastern part of Nigeria. It is known as the commercial hub of the country because of its active business activities. Aba has over 3 million population with 8 disciples presently residing in the city.
Disciples of Jesus moved in from the 5 churches in the bloc on the first day, about 11 of them, they were later joined by others during the cause of the week.
It was 7 days of revival and turn around in the lives of hundreds of souls in Aba as they gave their time and as well opened up their hearts to the scriptures. There were two Bible talks at two different locations that were newly introduced during the campaign with a total of 14 visitors recorded at the first discussion and 16 visitors at the next. Presently, there are about 35 consistent studies going on in the city with great prospects. It is without a doubt that this city is hungry for the truth from God’s word.
It was also 7 days of spiritual bonding for the missionaries as there were daily morning devotionals and prayers, pairings for evangelism and prayers for souls being reached out to in the evening.
Sunday service was truly deep and powerful, it really met needs as Kemi Olufowobi, who leads the bloc, shared a message titled “The Right And Spiritual Way Of Thinking And Doing Things”. It was attended by 52 persons out of which 20 were visitors.
The campaign was the first of its kind in the bloc and we hope that it will be a yearly plan as we take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the Eastern cities in Nigeria.
The Aba campaign, God willing, is in preparation for the planting of the church in this city come 2020. We are therefore seeking the moral, spiritual and financial support of every disciple of Jesus to making this dream a reality to the glory of God.
Let’s make it happen in Aba, Nigeria come 2020.
God bless His church. Amen🙏🏼
