Lagos Church Holds Singles Workshop
Saturday 21st of June 2014 was an exciting day for all the Singles in Lagos, as the ministry coordinator, Mr. Mike Olomo organized A One Day Workshop for the entire singles in the Lagos Church.
The workshop which was graced by huge numbers of singles commenced exactly at 10.00am and was opened by the coordinator who welcomed all the singles in God’s name and urged them to be part of the workshop with heart and mind.
The classes commenced after the powerful praise and worship.
The workshop was categories into three different classes.
The first class which was handled by Gilbert Kimeng and his wife Perita, encouraged the singles on “Friendship as God Desires”. His first point, Jesus on Friendship, was from John 15:12-15 and emphasized on friendship being about sharing, giving, sacrificial, openness and unconditional.
He also laid emphases on Importance of Friends – Romans 12 – 10, loving one another with brotherly affection and to outdo one another in showing honor.

Ruth and Naomi (Ruth 1:16-17). Be loyal and stick to your friends
David and Jonathan (1sam 18:3)
Paul and Timothy (1tim 1:18; 1:3-4)
The second phase of the workshop was split into three categories – The brothers, sisters and the dating couples and the classes were handled by Mr. Ayo Dasilva, Titi George and the Anolefo’s respectively.
The brother’s class titled, Love and Purity by Dasilva who shared from the book of 1Corinthians 13 urged single men to love in purity, analyzing the kind of love our Lord Jesus Christ demand from single brothers.
The sister’s class was titled “Love and Inner Beauty”, which focused on the life of Ruth. From this class, the sisters looked at four difference areas:
- The power of Choice Ruth 1:1-end
- The power of Reputation Ruth 2:1-end
- The power of Obedience Ruth 3:1-end and
- The power of Restoration Ruth 4:1-end
The last segment, titled Love Connections was led by the lead evangelist, Chris Ogbonnaya. It was a time of reflections as he taught on Love connection amongst singles.
